    Nope, afaik it’s because most standard USB ports put out 1 amp of power, whereas iPad chargers provide 2.4 amps. I’m pretty sure a 1 amp output does charge it though, just a much slower rate of charge. If you’re using the iPad, it’d likely discharge faster than the port could charge it too. 6. level 1.

    iPad Air Wi-Fi If it says Not Charging while it's plugged in, but still charges, it's doing a slow charge. It won't charge while the screen is on, but it will charge. That being said, as long as you're using the iPad charger (not any other, and not the computer) and it isn't doing a normal charge, you should bring it into the Apple store.
